Obituary for Shirley Taylor Goodman
Shirley Taylor Goodman, born July 26, 1937, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning on January 16, 2021, from complications of Covid-19.
Shirley was the daughter of Lee Taylor and Ester Taylor; and sister to Ray and David Taylor; and preceded in death by a brother, Roy Taylor; infant son, Michael Stephen; step son, J. David Goodman; and granddaughter, Amber Dawi.
Shirley was a very giving person, she loved animals and going to yard sales.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam; sons, Richard (Tyla) and Tim; stepdaughters, Debra (Fred) and Donna; step sons, Tommy and Mikey; grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Melanie, Robert, Nick, Tim, Shannon and William; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Shirley will be laid to rest with her loving husband, JD at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Mission Hospital, Pelican Health (where Shirley was a resident), Hospice Solace Center and Harwood Home for Funerals.
Shirley will forever live in our hearts and memory. We love you and we will miss you. All the family.
