Obituary for Thomas W. Stroud, Jr.
Thomas W. Stroud Jr, 70, of Black Mountain, went to be in his Heavenly home on April 17, 2021 at Mission Hospital Campus.
Born on May 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Thomas W. Stroud Sr. and Ruth P. Stroud. He was a life-long resident of the Broad River Community. His passions were working on his farm, coon hunting, and taking care of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, papaw, and soon to be great grandpa.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three sisters, Betty Smith, Jewell Elliot, and Nancy Latham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara Stroud; daughters, Tammy Barnett (Scott) and Cindy Miller (Brian); special granddaughters, Allie Nix (Shelby), Ashley Miller, and Kaylee Miller; and soon to be great grandson, Stetson Thomas Nix.
A graveside service will be held at the Elliot-Stroud Family Cemetery on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:00am with Pastor Chris Matthews officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Miller, Scott Barnett, Shelby Nix, Tyler Clapp, Todd Wheeler, and Eric Parham.
