Obituary for Vanetta Black Biddix
Vanetta Black Biddix, 92, of Black Mountain, passed away March 3, 2021.
Mrs. Biddix was born March 25, 1928 in Thomasville, NC to the late Curvis and Grace W. Black. She graduated Mars Hill College in 1947 with a Secretarial degree. She then served as Secretary at the Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly for several years. Vanetta was very active in the church where she held various offices. She was also a member of the Railroad Retiree Association.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lee Biddix; and son, Jerry Biddix.
Vanetta is survived by her special companion, Rebecca Warren; caring friends, Martha and James McMahan, Barbara Harris, and Herman Hawkins; sister, Sarah Lambe; and brother, Claiborne Black.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at Mountain View Memorial Park.
