Obituary for William Lewis "Edward" Holloman
William Lewis “Edward” Holloman, 78, of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2022.
William was born December 7, 1943 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Virgel and Ella Mae Holloman. He was veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam War and he retired from the US Postal Service with over 32 years of service. William was a beloved man of God where he served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. William was a loving husband, father and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Mabel Todd-Hassell; and siblings, Yvonne Holloman, Alice Edwards and Ray Joe Holloman.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Tina Jones Holloman; sons, Cedric Holloman and Edward Holloman; brother, Vincent Holloman; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00am at Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services. A celebration of life service will immediately follow with Rev. David Hall officiating.
A private family interment will be at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
