Condolence: I wish that everyone could have the lovely memory of their first grade teacher that I have in Mrs. Whitaker. The older I become the more convinced I am of how important our early childhood experiences are to our development as adults and Mrs. Whitaker was one of those teachers that made a difference. I believe sweetness oozed from her pores. I had the wonderful opportunity to greet her a few years ago and will treasure the picture of us together taken at that time. I hope that your sadness at this time will be countered by the knowledge of her contributions to generations of children and wonderful memories of this great woman.

Condolence: Renne and Steve, we grieve with you but also share in spirit with you as you celebrate the life of an exceptional person. We regret that we didn't know your mother, but feel like we did through your stories, and because you, Renne, without a doubt have always had and will continue to have her loving spirit within you.

Condolence: I was just talking about Lores and Dempsey a couple of weeks ago. She was a wonderful lady. Dempsey and my dad, Bill Wilson, worked together. I did not have the pleasure of having her for my teacher, but, did have the pleasure of knowing both of them. My mom, Judie, alwyas spoke so highly of them, even til her own death.

Condolence: Mrs. Whitaker was my first grade teacher in 1958. I still adore her she was such a remarkable lady leaving behind many great memories. I was fortunate enough to see her recently and talk with her for a few minutes. I am very saddened by her passing and will always remember her fondly.

Condolence: Mrs. Whitaker was my first grade teacher at BMP in 1955. It was always my pleasure to see her in church at BMUMC or at Ingle's I am one who is glad she gave. Her example started me in the right direction. Love and prayers to her family. I loved her too.

She was a memorable part of my life and many others like me from first grade on. My last memory of her was a chance meeting in the grocery. Her smile was radiant as always. Condolence: When you think of Mrs Whitaker you just think of sweetness and love, she loved everyone and she never said a harm word against anyone. I will miss her each week and her smile when she came to beauty shop. I wish there were word that could ease the pain, but knowing where she is with our heavely Father gives you comfort. Knowing Mrs Whitaker was one of the joys that came into my life,she was a model for us all. My prayers are with all her family. Love you all.
