After bravely fighting cancer, William Kenneth Thomas, 58, of Swannanoa, NC crossed over the river on June 26, 2014 and is now resting under the shade of the trees.
Ken grew up in a military family and experienced life in various places in the US and England. He continued the tradition and proudly served in the US Army for 10 years. He was a history buff and enjoyed the outdoors and the companionship of a dog.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jones Thomas; son, Billy Thomas; daughter, Kerri Thomas; parents, Billy and Janenne Thomas; brothers, Dale Thomas and Grayling Thomas; and sisters, Shannon Cuthbert and Wyoma Newton. He will be missed by his loving Sheltie, Katie.
It is not goodbye dear Ken. It is only farewell until we meet again. Heaven is our final home and we will see you there.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 6:30pm at First Baptist Church, Swannanoa with Dr. Jeff Dowdy officiating.
Private interment services will be held at a later date in Wellington, Colorado.
