Rachel McCormick Wilson, 84, of Black Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2014.
Rachel was born October 16, 1929 in McDowell County.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Wilson; son-in-law, Bobby Joe Brown; and 7 siblings.
Rachel is survived by her daughters, Donna Brown, and Kaye Adams and her husband Jim; sister, Madge McCall; grandchildren, Sonya Grindstaff, Kim Sherrill, Wade Turner, Jennifer Brown, and Brandon Adams; great grandchildren, Haley, Faith, Heather, Victoria, Catherine, and Kaylee.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Stone officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
