Pamyla Sue  Robison
Pamyla Sue Robison, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with ALS, on October 20th in Prince Frederick, Maryland (formerly of Black Mountain, NC). Pamyla was born on January 28, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio. She worked for the Great Lakes Region of the YMCA and retired from The Town of Black Mountain Recreation and Parks Department. She was a member of Black Mountain United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in Prince Frederick, MD. She enjoyed singing in church choirs and The Asheville Choral Society.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Frybarger and her beloved husband, Dave Robison. Pamyla felt blessed to have such a loving family.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Robison Mason (Mike Mason) of Prince Frederick, MD; her son, David T. Robison (Luis Peche) of Catonsville, MD; mother, Dorthea Frybarger of Zephyrhills, FL; sister Sandi Frybarger Richards (Dave Richards) of Huber Heights, OH; brother Ron Frybarger (Loretta Frybarger) of Zephyrhills, FL and 16 nieces and nephews. Pamyla found great joy and happiness with her 2 grandsons, Michael and Andrew Mason.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday, October 23rd at Black Mountain United Methodist Church. A service at the church will immediately follow at 11am.
Burial to follow at Western NC Veterans Cemetery at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the ALS Association, Autism Speaks, Smile Train and/or Black Mtn. United Methodist Church.
