Obituary for Lee Franklin
Lee Franklin, 86, of McDowell County, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Givens Highland Farms after an extended illness.
Mr. Franklin was born January 27, 1928 in Avery County.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Faye Meredith Franklin and grandson, Joey Mangona.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Francis Franklin; daughter, Janet Mangona (Butch); son, Don Franklin (Dee); sister, Gladys Parker; grandchildren, Stephen Franklin, Kelly Franklin (Candace), and Kim Garrison (Keith); and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
