Joyce Marie Taylor Nelon, 72, of Buncombe County, passed away January 9, 2015.
Joyce was born August 11, 1942 to the late Ben and Gertrude Wright Taylor. She was a caring, sweet and loving woman. Joyce will be missed by all her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Nelon.
Joyce is survived by her stepsons, Buddy Nelon (Sherry), and David Nelon (Melissa); sisters, Effie Belcher, and Hazel Taylor; grandchildren, John Nelon, Nikki Nelon, Ashley Blackwell, Lukas Nelon, Mallory Kelly, and Madelynn Kelly; and great grandchildren, Courtney Nelon, Amber Nelon, Hunter Nelon, Tanner Blackwell and Gracie Blackwell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
