Eva Lena Thompson, 88, of Swannanoa, went home to be with her Lord on January 22, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thompson and Lena Faubert Thompson; a brother, Norman Thompson (Jimmie Ruth); and sisters, Shirley Thompson and Lena Thompson.
Eva is survived by her son, Richard Thompson of Swannanoa; brothers, James Thompson (Louise) of Tucson, AZ, Robert Thompson (Margaret) of Swannanoa; sisters, Theresa Norton (Frank) of Old Fort, and Betty Jean Thompson of Swannanoa; special friend, Brenda Roberts Wright of Black Mountain; and several nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her special companion, a dog named Teddy Bear, and all of her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with Rev. Jack Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
