Virginia Thomas Toothaker, 102, of Black Mountain, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
Mrs. Toothaker was born February 4, 1913 to the late Charles and Hazel Izor Knauss. She has been a resident of Black Mountain for 8 years. Virginia enjoyed playing golf, sewing, and playing the organ. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Orlando, FL.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Clifton J. Toothaker, Jr. of Black Mountain; son, Allen Thomas and wife, Jan of Asheville; sister, Jean Welch of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Cameron Thomas of Orlando, FL, and Kiersten Edwards of Swannanoa; great grandchildren, Sam, Charlie, River, Campbell and Callen.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Assembly Room at Highland Farms.
