Bonnie Craig Wright, 83, of Black Mountain went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2015. She was reunited with her one true love, Oates Marion Wright.
She was a lifelong member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church of Fairview, NC. Bonnie dedicated her life to helping others however she was needed. She was best known for her kindness and generosity. She had a love for children and loved her grandchildren immensely. She is deeply loved and will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Jessie and Maude Craig. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Junior, Marvin, Alfred and Ernest Craig of Fairview and step-sister, Helen.
Surviving are her step-mother, Margaret Craig of Fairview; children, Joyce Baldwin, Wade Wright (Patricia), Lorrene Brooks (Larry) and Bobby Wright all of Black Mountain. She was the grandmother of Sonia Dickerson, Tonia Brooks, Tammy Moore, Mendy Paris, Melony Higdon, Jordan Wright, Adam Austin, Jade Whited, Elaine Shook and Billy Biddix; 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil Craig of Fairview; sister, Carolyn Orr (James) of Old Fort; four step-sisters, Wanda Ledford, Judy Haynie, Margaret McBee and Shirley Dodd.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church of Fairview. The Reverends Ronnie Harris and Norris Wright will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
