Clota M  Burleson
Clota M. Burleson, 93, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015.
Mrs. Burleson was born May 8, 1921 in Buncombe County to the late Thomas J. and Ollie McKinney.
Clota was an avid quilter, wonderful cook and was dedicated to Inanda Baptist Church of which she was a member.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Burleson; sisters, Dorothy Atkins and Elnora Mathis; and brothers, Charles and Lloyd McKinney.
Mrs. Burleson is survived by her children, Boyd Burleson (Jean), Houston Burleson (Sandi) all of Asheville; Jeri Craine (Joe) of Morehead City, Lena Frady (Wes) of Indiana, and Vina Doyal and fiancé, Steve Cole of Swannanoa; sister, Emma Tincher of California; brother, Ivan McKinney of Asheville; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 8 great great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Inanda Baptist Church. Burial will be in Azalea United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
