Obituary for Margaret Clinkscales

Margaret  Clinkscales
Margaret Greenlee Clinkscales, 82, of Black Mountain, passed away June 27, 2015.
Mrs. Clinkscales was born July 9, 1932 in Buncombe County to the late James and Florence Stepp Greenlee.
Margaret enjoyed collecting dolls and watching soap operas. She attended Hill Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence F. Clinkscales; brother, James Greenlee; and sisters, Johannah Durham, Elizabeth Harper, and Erlene Hamilton.
Margaret is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Jones of Black Mountain, Fannie Carney of California, Precious Hill of Black Mountain, and Pansy Hooper of Swannanoa; brother, Ralph E. Greenlee of Black Mountain.
She was very special to her nieces and nephews, Cheryl, William, Alma, Patricia, Jimmy, Kay, Michael, Vickie, Terri, Tony, Doulton, Wendell, Dionne, Elizabeth, and Cynthia; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with Pastor Michael O. Burris and Rev. Tammy Bales officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Burial will follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the CNA’s, doctors, and nursing staff at Highland Farms for their care of Margaret.
