Obituary for George P. Turbyfill Sr.

George P.  Turbyfill Sr.
George P. Turbyfill, Sr., 64, of Black Mountain, North Carolina passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at his residence in Bethalto, Illinois.
George was born September 26, 1950 in Savannah, GA to the late Mary C. Brown Turbyfill and Oscar P. Turbyfill.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and proudly served in the US Army for more than twenty years. He then worked at Black Mountain center until he retired. George loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
George is survived by his wife, Ok Hwa Turbyfill; his sons, George P. Turbyfill, Jr. (Suzan) and David A. Turbyfill (Miranda) of Bethalto, IL; brothers, David Turbyfill and Henry Turbyfill both of Black Mountain, NC; nephew Ryan Turbyfill of Georgia and five grandchildren, Katelyn, Katherine, Noah, Logan, and Gabriel.
Along with his dear mother Mary he was preceded in death by his beloved Uncles George Brown, Woody Brown, Barney Brown and his Aunt Nell Hudgens as well as his father Oscar.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. Burial service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 12:00pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
