Obituary for Bill J. Hurst
Bill J. Hurst, 79, of Asheville, passed peacefully in his home on August 25, 2015.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Regan Hurst (father) and Myrtle Hurst (mother); and brother, Taft Marion Hurst.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hyder Hurst; children, Brent Hurst (son), Angela Welch, Cindy Runion (daughter), husband Larry, Todd Hurst (son), Cindy Haney; grandchildren, Katie Runion, Zachary Hurst (wife, Anna), Emily Runion, Alicia Hurst, Sam Runion (wife, Steelie), Max Hurst; great grandchildren, Aidan, Avery, and Waylon; sister-in-law, Barbara Hurst; and faithful companion, Spot.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 28, 2015, at 2:00 pm at First Born Baptist Church in Weaverville with Rev. Jerry Jamerson officiating.
At other times, the family will be at the Hurst residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Born Baptist Church, 45 Pleasant Grove Road, Weaverville, NC 28787 or Salem Methodist Church, 9 Salem Church Road, Weaverville, NC 28787.
