Obituary for David Sam Bartlett Sr.
David Sam Bartlett, Sr., 65, of Marion, formerly of Black Mountain, passed away January 25, 2016.
David had operated Bartlett Painting Service in Black Mountain until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed spending time with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bulo and Thelma Bartlett; and brothers, Ray and Glenn Bartlett.
David is survived by his daughters, Sandra Summey and Tammy Ramsey of Marion; sister, Hazel Banks of Marion, brother, Wayne Bartlett (Paula) of Goshen, KY; and 6 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with Rev. Joe Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
