Mary Ruth Settle Buckner, 90, of Black Mountain, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016.
Mrs. Buckner was born August 26, 1925 in Buncombe County to the late Hillary and Myrtle Wilson Settle. She attended Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bert William Buckner; sisters, Essie Shelton and Ruby Fletcher.
Mary is survived by her sons, Terry Buckner of Swannanoa and David Buckner of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Betty Ann Davis; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
