Obituary for Landon Lealod Runion

Landon Lealod  Runion
Landon Lealod Runion, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late John and Cary Runion. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Garland, Coy, Gordon, and Arnold Runion; and sisters, Ollie Griffin, Dollie Ramsey, Edith Penley, and Arlene Reynolds.
Surviving are his sisters, June Stepp-Larsh and Johnnie Runion Smith of the Greenville, SC area; along with several nieces and nephews.
Landon was a beloved member of Meadowbrook FWB Church for 40 years where he was a deacon, greeter, choir member, youth worker, and grounds keeper. He was employed as timekeeper at Kearfott for 39 years.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm with funeral following at 3:00 pm at Meadowbrook FWB Church. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Stone and Rev. Frank Cantrell. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Meadowbrook FWB Church, 204 Blue Ridge Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
