Obituary for Craig D. Beasley

Craig Beasley, 80, of Swannanoa passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Friday, September 16, 2016.
Mr. Beasley was born June 30, 1937 in Madison County to the late Roy and Ellen Beasley.
Craig was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Black Mountain Center with 20 years of service. He was a member of the Swannanoa Masonic Lodge #561. Craig enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, digging ramps, and spending time with his grandson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Christine Hymes.
Craig is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Faye Shipley Beasley; son, Ryan Beasley and wife, Kimberly; sister, Wanda Crisp; brother, Jennings Beasley; grandson, Brady Beasley; nephew, Keith Bauldin; nieces, Tammy Melton and Teresa Beasley Click; and other extended family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery following the funeral service with Masonic and Military rites.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to David Perkins and Mitzi Sawyer for their loving care of Craig during his illness.
