Carl Moye Brown, 78 passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at home in Asheville, NC.
Carl was born in Lakeland, Florida and lived most of his adult life in Orlando, FL where he worked as a Librarian at the Orange County Library System. Carl held degrees from Florida State University in Art History and Library Science. He was a member of St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Winter Park and attended All Soul’s Cathedral in Biltmore Village.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Curtis; and his partner of 38 years, Michael Cohen.
Carl is survived by many close friends.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, October 27th, 2016 at 2:00pm at All Soul’s Cathedral in Biltmore Village.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the AGO Michael Cohen Scholarship Fund (https://www.agohq.org/ contribute/ago-funds/new- organist-fund/), the All Soul’s Cathedral Music Ministry in Asheville, NC or to St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Winter Park, Florida.
