Henry “Hawk” Gibbs, 86, of Swannanoa passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Mr. Gibbs was born September 10, 1930 to the late Henry and Aubree Gibbs.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, painter, artist, and was loved by all. Mr. Gibbs was a veteran of United States Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Cauble Gibbs; stepson, Phillip Eugene Brown; one sister and one brother.
Mr. Gibbs is survived by his sister, Barbara Osnoe; brother, Mike Gibbs; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
