Obituary for Billy Claude Bruce

Billy Claude  Bruce
Billy Claude Bruce, 86, of Leicester, passed away February 21, 2017.
Mr. Bruce was born June 10,1930 in Barnardsville to the late William Arthur and Sarah Gentry Bruce. Billy was a volunteer fireman and ambulance driver with Leicester Fire Department for over 20 years. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and he retired from Steelcase.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Della Louise Bruce; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Billy is survived by his children, Eugene Bruce (Wendie), Keith Bruce (Brenda) and Brenda Bruce-Austin (Kelly); sister, Elizabeth “Lib” Langford; and grandchildren, Donna, Dena, Emily, Jonathan, and Colton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton Jr., Rev. Allen Rash and Rev. Donnie Walker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Building Fund, 216 Shelburne Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
