Obituary for Anthony J. "Tony" Marcaccio

Anthony J. Marcaccio, 91, of Black Mountain, NC passed away on August 12, 2017.
Tony’s life was exemplified by his love and dedication to his family, church, country, and friends.
Tony is survived by his wife Rose, the love of his life for 67 years; his beloved children, Chuck and Mary Marcaccio, Celeste and Jack Steven Proffitt, John and Kay Marcaccio, and Msgr. Anthony J. Marcaccio; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren who adored their Papa/GPop; sister, Gilda Tocco (Peter) and sister-in-law, Pat Marcaccio.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am, Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Swannanoa, NC with a reception following. Burial will be at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC at 2:00pm with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice, St. Pius X Catholic Church, PO Box 13588, Greensboro, NC 27415 or North Carolina State Veterans Home, 62 Lake Eden Rd., Black Mountain, NC 28711.
