Mrs. Margaret Gilbert, daughter of the late Wilbur and Ada Hollifield, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Franklin Gilbert; brothers, Bernie, Ernest, Grayson, and Leroy Hollifield; and sisters, Beulah Sharp, Ora Bailey and Marie Hart.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Jay Hollifield; sister, Lula Karnas; many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a member of Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church for over 30 years where she served as a Deacon and on many committees. She was also an active member and officer of the Pilot Club.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain, NC with her brother, Jay Hollifield and her nephew, Rev. Mike Hollifield officiating.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC with Rev. Bobby Morrow, Rev. Stan Heiser and Dr. Gerald Worrell officiating.
