Juanita Henderson Gunter, 83, of Big Laurel Rd. went to be with her Savior and loved ones on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
Juanita was a lifelong resident of Madison County, born on August 6, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Nina and Neal Chandler and David Henderson.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Coolidge; sister, Leona Smith and very special friend, Ray Doyle.
She is survived by her son, Ray Dean Gunter and wife, Glenna; daughters, Irene Chandley and husband, Truman and Barbara Norton and husband, Lester; 6 grandchildren, Dylan Gunter, Dennis Chandley and Kasey Norton all of Marshall, Shannon (John) Bips and Angie Norton both of Georgia, and Hannah (Chris) Brock of Goldsboro; great grandchildren, Austin, Krysten, Avery Madison, and Bailey; brother, James Chandler and wife, Cheryl; sister, Louise Branan and husband, Bill; and brother-in-law, Fred Gunter and wife, Faye.
Services will be held in Dew Drop Church of God with Reverends BP Boyle, Garland Rice and Raymond Cantrell officiating.
Mrs. Gunter will be placed in the church at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 and will remain until her service time at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Burial will follow in Gunter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cameron Gunter, Terry King, Terry William King, Kevin Bullman, and Garney Rice.
