I want Gerry and the rest of David's family to know that my love and prayers are with you in this time of grief. I can't adequately express the sadness and loss I feel with the passing of David, my dearest friend and mentor. David and Gerry have been a part of life for many years and they have always treated me and my family just like a part of their family. We have had many very special times together and a few tough ones too, but we always knew that we were there for one another. I will reassure you now that you can count on my love and support in this difficult time as well. I will truly miss David's friendship and wise words, particularly at a time just like this, but knowing David's faith I find solace in my belief that he is now in peace with our Lord. David was a unique gift to all who knew him and I am thankful to God for letting him be a part of my life and my family too.
