Martha & Shirley & all the Family, Johnny has left a big empty place in Black Mountain. I remember when he would come by Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry to visit his sisters. He would be making plans for the Christmas Cheer program. Many kids in our valley would not have had any presents under the tree were it not for Johnny. What I was always admired & appreciated about Johnny was how he treated our son Brian. He always spoke to him at the Huddle House or wherever they ran into each other. I always felt Johnny was looking out for Brian. Brian knew he had a friend in Johnny.. Thank you Johnny Raines for your smiles & caring for others.
