Obituary for Ray Malone Kirstein

Ray Malone  Kirstein
Ray Malone Kirstein of Black Mountain NC passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Almeta Parker Kirstein; son, Ronnie Wheeler and Sissy; grandson, Christopher Wheeler and Natalie; great grandson, Mason Wheeler; sisters, Florence Mercer of Los Alamos, NM and Berniece K. Donaldson and Bill of Arlington, VA; and special cousin, Bill Garrison.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Harriet and Emil Kirstein; sister, Lillian Bahrich; and first wife, Virginia Helms Kirstein.
He was a veteran of World War II, and Ray was a participant in the invasion of Normandy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with Reverend James Kirstein officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friend on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals.
